It is time to reclaim health.

  • Maternal mortality and morbidity is skyrocketing.
  • The United States has the highest infant mortality rate of any first world country.
  • Black mothers are dying in childbirth at astronomical rates.
  • Medical interventions are wildly overused.
  • Every day, pharmaceuticals are used off label in childbirth with sometimes fatal consequences.
  • Perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders are at an all time high.
  • Postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD are going undiagnosed and untreated.
  • Dads and partners are experiencing postpartum depression at alarming rates.
  • Meanwhile, childhood obesity, diabetes, and cognitive/sensory processing disorders remain on an upward trajectory.

What a mess we are in! So, how do we reclaim our health?? By refusing to treat pregnancy and childbirth as an illness that needs to be preemptively managed with medical interventions. Instead, by approaching the entire perinatal period (pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding) holistically – incorporating all areas of wellness: physical, mental, emotional, social & spiritual.

There is truly no other certification like this one.

Guide clients to better wellness during pregnancy and postpartum. Address common pregnancy and postpartum concerns, as well as more complicated health issues. Support natural immunity and natural healing through diet, exercise, stress reduction, herbal medicine & aromatherapy.

And do all of this from an evidence-based perspective.

Natural health, herbal medicine, science based.

Why Perinatal Wellness?

This certification was created, because there isn’t anything else out there like it. You would need at least 4 separate certifications to cover all of the areas of wellness that we address in this training process!

There is an immense vacuum in the world of perinatal natural health support,
and no other practitioners are as uniquely equipped to meet those needs as a PWP.

By the end of your certification process, you will have the tools and the experience to support your clients with traditional and science-based methods for wellness. You will know what to say and how to guide your clients to better mental and physical health. Healthy parents mean healthy children. And families for generations will benefit.

Yes! I am ready to make a difference!

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at laura@lauranance.net if you cannot find an answer to your question.

 The Perinatal Wellness Program:

  • is based in science. Balancing traditional use of herbs and home remedies with the abundant scientific evidence that we have today.
  • is fully holistic, addressing all areas of wellness in alignment with the World Health Organization: nutrition, exercise, natural healing, stress reduction, mental and emotional wellbeing, social health, and spiritual health.
  • is full spectrum, covering the entire perinatal period: pregnancy, labor & birth, postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn care.
  • teaches the legalities of a non-medical profession in a balanced way.
  • fully prepares students for one-on-one consultations with personal guidance and hands-on practicum.

In addition, you get to complete the program at your own pace AND have personalized support from instructors through email, monthly zoom classes, and a live application-driven practicum. It’s the best of both worlds! You can now become a confident, full-spectrum, fully holistic, health & wellness consultant for expectant families with only one certification.

This is absolutely the ONLY program out there that has such a broad health scope with strong perinatal focus. That’s what makes this certification unique!

You have one year to complete both stages of the certification. Stage one consists of reading and monthly online classes. The introductory class will be held January 6 with additional classes every 4 -5 weeks ending June 2.

Stage Two starts with the virtual practicum weekend on June 6- 8. You can then begin taking certifying clients and take your exams.

Because each of us has our own preferred way of reading, we are leaving it up to you to decide how you would like to source your books. The Reading List consists of 4 books (plus an optional book if you don’t have previous training or experience in the birth field.) They are all readily available online, and each comes in paperback and ebook format. While I recommend purchasing the books so that you will have them for reference when working with clients, you may also be able to borrow them or find them through your local library.

They can all be found at Amazon. Please note:  As an Amazon associate,  I will make a small commission from any sales made through the links below

Absolutely not! This certification is perfect for those who are just starting out. It is also perfect for experienced birth professionals who are wanting to expand the ways in which they can support their clients’ health and wellness. If you are passionate about wellness and want to be a part of supporting and empower families in your community, then this certification is for you!

Tuition for the PWP certification is $995. And that’s all! No extra fees, no surprises. Everything is included in that price except for the books from the required reading list and the supplies for the live herbal practicum that you will source on your own. There are no recertification fees, no testing fees, and no mandatory membership fees.

There are multiple options for payment at checkout, including credit/debit card, ACH, and afterpay (buy now, pay later)

Since students have access to all proprietary materials upon registration, including the training manual, required reading list, study guides, case studies, forms, tests, and other written assignments, there are no tuition refunds for any reason. Add an answer to this item.
